A +- 15 km de Chiang Mai, se trouve l'un des plus importants temples de la région le Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. L'édifice est perché à 1685 mètres, tout même, doi signifiant mont en thaïlandais, on y accède après 309 marches protégés par deux Nagâs (serpents sacrés).

On monte de la route au temple par une telepherique ... j'avais connu ces cabines en montagne dans les stations de sports d'hiver ....je ne les imaginais pas en THAÏLANDE

A droite avant de monter les marches, y'a un lift ou crémaillère (si elle fonctionne) pour quelques baths ...
